Who am I

My name is Horacio Pérez Sánchez, and I am currently the Principal Investigator of the Structural Bioinformatics and High Performance Computing research group (https://bio-hpc.eu) and a teacher at several degrees (Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Computer Engineering) at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) in Murcia, Spain. The person in the picture above is not me, but rather a man with the same name who lived during Roman times and was a poet. My picture is further down, so you can see I have fewer grey hairs.

I have over 20 years of experience in both academic and industrial research, over 200 scientific articles, and more than 20 projects as a Principal Investigator, and I have attracted over 6,000,000€ in funding for the projects in which I have participated.

I have supervised 10 doctoral theses and several final year projects and master’s theses. I have reviewed articles in prestigious international scientific journals and research and technology transfer projects at national and international levels.

Due to my extensive experience (successes and failures) and training, I can help you progress in any aspect of your research (patenting, publishing, obtaining and managing funding, leading and managing teams, etc.) and at any level of your career.

Feel free to ask me any questions. By the way, I have also dedicated myself to poetry, but without a toga.
